The 17th Zagreb WordPress Meetup gathered WordPress enthusiasts on March 21, 2025, at Infobip’s futuristic Alpha Centauri campus, fostering both knowledge sharing and community spirit.

Our Bruno presented an engaging session on how motion design can significantly enhance user interaction through Micro-Animations, providing practical tips and demonstrating techniques to make websites more dynamic and user-friendly. His examples showcased innovative ways animations and transitions could effectively guide user actions and improve overall user experience. He demoed our way of building micro-animations through Lottie files, JSON file format and how to integrate them into the modern WP stack. Bruno also covered the importance of minimizing loadtimes and maximizing performance – neatly showing the difference between Lottie file format and H264 and H265 encodings respectively.

Berislav’s presentation on the WordPress Playground project captivated attendees, highlighting the project’s potential to revolutionize how developers and content creators interact with WordPress. Berislav discussed key features (such as blueprints), demonstrated live examples, and encouraged audience participation, leading to enthusiastic discussions about the future possibilities of WordPress environments and collaborative tools. One important take is that WP Playground can vastly empower educators and builders in quickly spinning up their WP instances – shortening the time for testing plugins or themes; or just demoing around with their pupils.

Infobip graciously provided the venue, refreshments, and generous prizes, making the event both comfortable and rewarding for all participants. Attendees had ample opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and build new connections within the vibrant Zagreb WordPress community. Relive the evening through our photo gallery below, capturing some of the meetup’s best moments and vibrant atmosphere!
